D&AD New Blood Wood Pencil Winner

Challenged to help vulnerable customers with mental health issues manage their money better, I developed Barclays Safe Spending. The concept offers customers 2 tools to track their spending and encourage reflection before hitting pay now. 

Recently there has been demand for Compulsive Spending to be recognised as a mental health issue. Online shopping allows for 24/7 spending that may go unregulated.

Cool Off Portal

After clicking 'Pay Now' online customers are taken to a secure portal with interactive questions. With a user interface communicated through neutral icons, designed to empower Barclays users to make thoughtful decisions before purchasing products online.
